Claire Spenard is a graduate of the dance programs at School of the Arts, Muhlenberg College, and Accademia Dell’Arte in Arezzo, Italy. She was the inaugural summer Artist in Residence for the 2025 International Dance Festival New Orleans, and her work merges the traditions of modern dance and vernacular jazz, including Lindy Hop and Tap. She has worked with choreographers like Melanie George and David Dorfman, and showcased work in Rochester, NY at Dances at MUCCC, Wander & Wonder, and Rochester Fringe. She is currently on faculty at Rochester’s School of the Arts, and previously taught at the New Orleans Ballet Association.
