An artist and filmmaker, RIT Associate Professor Mari Jaye Blanchard combines high and low-tech processes to create animated works. Her films have screened in festivals worldwide including Annecy and SIGGRAPH Asia. She has also produced animations for Sesame Workshop, MTV, Comedy Central, Nickelodeon, and the New York Foundation for the Arts (NYFA). mari jaye is a NYFA Fellow, an Asian American Arts Alliance Urban Artist Initiative (UAI) Fellow, an ASIFA-Hollywood AEF Grant recipient and a co-founder of the NYC animation collective Family Camp. When she is not sitting at her computer finishing her latest 2D animated film reTIRED, she can be found scaling the walls of her favorite climbing gym, Central Rock.
